Hunting\General Information

The total area of hunting grounds under lease in Minsk region as of January 1, 2011 amounted to 3,202.0 thousand hectars, of which 1,394.4 are are forest areas, 1,692.0 thousand hectars are field areas, 115.6 thousand hectars are water of dump areas. The main hunting organization in the area is Republic state and public organization "Belarussian association of hunters and fishers" that is a lessee of the territory with the total area amounting to 1.694,2 thousand hectars, of which 602.2 thousand hectars are forest areas, 1,053.2 thousand hectars are field areas, 38.8 thousand hectars are water of dump areas. Forestry and hunting areas of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus carry out hundting activities on the territory with the total area amounting to 761.6 thousand hectars, of which 396.0 thousand hectars are forest areas, 340.5 thousand hectars are field areas,  25.1 thousand hectars are water of dump areas. The territory belonging to Voenokhot PTUP covers the area of 155.2 thousand hectars, of which 77.4 thousand hectars are forest areas, 68.4 thousand hectars are field areas,  9.4 thousand hectars are water of dump areas.

      The time of hundting of regulated species are set in accordance with the Rules of hunting territories management and hunting approved by Order No 580 of the president of the Republic of Belarus dated December 8, 2005 with amendment No 386 dated July 23, 2010.
   In accordance with the data received in the course of research that was carried out on the territories of hunting grounds of Minsk SDFRM in 2011, the grouds feature regulated species in the following quantities: moose - 1,205, deer - 432, roe - 4,068, boar - 3,781.
